Polestar Remote is an independent, unofficial community app and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Polestar.
During sign-in, this helper receives the email address and password you submit and immediately forwards them to Polestar for authentication. They are not stored in a database, written to application logs, or retained after the request.
After successful authentication, OAuth access and refresh tokens are held only in server memory for up to 10 minutes while a one-time pairing code is waiting to be redeemed by the Zepp app. The pairing code can be used once. After redemption, the server copy is deleted.
The helper does not use advertising, analytics, tracking cookies, or sell personal data. Temporary server-side authentication cookies are used only to complete the Polestar sign-in flow.
The Zepp app stores the resulting Polestar OAuth tokens locally in its app settings so it can communicate with the vehicle service. Removing the app or clearing its data removes those locally stored credentials.
